Most orthondontic cases can be treated after all the baby teeth are gone and a majority of the adult teeth are in. However, some dental circumstances can achieve better symmetry, a fuller correction, more efficient movements, and shorter treatment if we can do some early intervention with Phase I orthodontics. For our current pediatric patients we are doing orthodontic evaluations regularly, but if you are not our patient we recommend bringing your child in around the age of 9 to 10 for an orthodontic evaluation (this consult can be done at a regular check-up).
